“On October 17, 2011, Petticoat – Schmitt was awarded a utility/roadway beautification contract in the downtown area with the City of Jacksonville Beach in the amount of $4,400,107.37. Over the past two years, the city has approved several additional phases of work to the original contract which was generated by the city. During the construction phases of this project, the management and supervision has performed extremely well in the scheduling, installation, cleanup and the public relations aspect of the work. Randy Milner, Project Superintendent has always been very responsive to the city’s concerns and taken immediate steps to expedite the resolution to any concerns or complaints. Any change orders generated within this project were city generated and reasonably priced by the contractor. I always look forward to Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors, Inc., submitting bids for our projects and look forward to working with them in the future.”
“Petticoat-Schmitt has constructed a town center and reversible lane project for the City of Jacksonville and we are very satisfied with the work and professionalism of the staff. The total project cost was 3.72 million dollars and included roadway construction, brick paver sidewalks, concrete sidewalks, mast arm assemblies, overhead lane use signals, fiber optic communication, street lighting, landscaping and irrigation. The project was completed on schedule and most of the change orders were owner requested. The pricing on the project including change orders were reasonable and we look forward to them bidding on future projects for the City.”
“Petticoat-Schmitt is currently constructing a master wastewater pumping station for Clay County Utility Authority and we are very satisfied with the work and professionalism of the staff. The total project cost was $1.885 million and included installation of a 30-feet deep, 18-feet diameter cast-in-place wet well for four submersible sewage pumps, associated gravity sewer connections, discharge forcemain, electrical controls, emergency generator, gantry crane and odor control system. The project is nearing completion; it is on schedule and we have had minimal change orders most of which were requested by the owner. The pricing of the project including change orders has been fair and reasonable and we have asked them to consider bidding on future projects for the Authority.”
